WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Marlin Stutzman (IN-03) released the following statement after his Fostering the Use of Technology to Uphold Regulatory Effectiveness in Supervision (FUTURES) Act passed the House of Representatives under suspension. The FUTURES Act will enhance regulatory agencies' ability to conduct thorough supervision and ensure the safety and soundness of the financial system.
"In the age of AI, it is imperative that regulatory technology keep up with monetary technological development,” said Rep. Stutzman. “In the financial sector, this is especially important as Americans’ assets, savings, and investments hang in the balance.
